If you guessed 50 screeching gay men in nun outfits, you are right! This Saturday evening, The Boat will be hosting a Sound of Music sing along event for fans of the musical who are looking to get their daily fix of “My Favourite Things”, “Sixteen Going on Seventeen”, “Do-Re-Mi” and “Edelweiss”. Presented by Electric Shawdows, entry is 30RMB and includes one drink, with a 2 for 1 drink special all evening. Prizes will be given out for the best dressed, so get creative with that Lederhosen! For the heterosexual members of the audience, the lyrics will be shown on the bottom of the screen so that you may sing along with the rest of the crowd. So head down to the Boat this Saturday and watch Maria and the von Trapp family stick it to the Führer one more time through technicolor song and dance.
The first time they appeared sometime last month, frozen groins were UP like umbrellas in a rainy day. Obviously, they heat up the cold season with their lickilicious bod and hard-to-ignore boyish charm.
Our friends over at Queer Comrades thew another scandalously queer party at the steadfastly heterosexual bar, Tun, on Halloween. Ghoulish queens and frightening fags descended upon the Tun in droves dressed in their smuttiest outfits, with some so convincing that Gayographic wonders if this whole city is one giant S&M freak. The Smut Party, the Queer Comrades answer to the drunken mess that is the Yen Fetish Party, was a huge success with live shows that got the crowds whipped up and whipped hard. As always, the QC folks organized two fabulous shows
It was of little surprise that Gayographic’s new Half n’ Half party at LAN would be a huge success. What queen does not find half-priced drinks and half-naked men worthy of some Friday night debauchery? Since there were oh-so-many smiling faces and stiff crotches that night, we have decided to bring out the boys again for another edition of Half n’ Half this Friday, once again at LAN. With the cold snap and snow descending on the Capital, we can’t think of anything that will make the boys warmer than cheap cocktails and boys in speedos. So mark your calendars, bitches, and get ready to once again admire some scantily
This year’s Halloween certainly has made it extra difficult for the party hoppers to make concrete plans. There is the ever-famous Yen party at 798 and there is the new DJ group Acupuncture spinning at Lan Club. Having enjoying his SMUT taste at Tun, in his taekwondo outfit, your correspondent kept asking himself the same question, “To Yen or to Lan?” After painstaking debates, our taxi was finally heading for the LG Towers.
Once again, Xiu, the hottest joint that is on everyone’s lips, presented another unforgettable party last Friday on Oct 30th. This time, for a change, it was on on the dime of Tony Studio. Founded 10 years ago by Tony Li, another “home-coming” queen from New York City, Tony Studio has undoubtedly become the leading representative of the styling industry in Mainland China and Tony himself, over the years, has been crowned by both his top notch clientele and the public as the top styling artist in China. On Friday, hundreds of Beijing social elites congregated at Xiu to celebrate with Tony and his remarkable milestone. As a fan and a personal friend and on behalf of gayographic.org, I wish Tony the best of luck and another 10 years of success!
