A new monthly party at Half Bar, scheduled for the last Saturday of each month. The first of the series, starting Saturday, February 26, will be a “Malebox” party. It’s a quirky flirting game that involves handsome “Malemen” (read: mail men) distributing bundles of sordid letters that interested guests write to other patrons, and (hopefully) lots of new love. In anticipation of a mixed local/foreign crowd and to help with potential language barriers, we’ll have two drag-a-translators on site willing and ready to translate anyone’s cross-cultural flirtation. And to get social juices nice and lubricated we’re offering free flowing Tsingdao and Rum and Coke from 9:30pm – 10:30pm.

Gayographic is BACK! At long last, we are teaming up with the Other Half to only offer you, our friends, the perfect Thursday night. Your slutty and sultry hosts Ben and Niu Niu will, as usual, welcome your arrival. Together with them is our DJ Marco who ensures a night of fun and bouncy music.
On July 1st, the Communist Party of China celebrates turning the ripe old age of 89 years old. To celebrate this geriatric achievement, Lantung will be holding a birthday party on the evening of July 1st to wish the party another 89 years of rule under guiding principles of modern socialist theory (actually we’re just using this as an excuse to get drunk). With summer officially in season, we expect to party the night away on the rooftop under the round moon so reminiscent of the former Chairman’s cherubic face. We’re sending the invite out to the upper echelons of the Party as well, so don’t be surprised to see a few famous faces from the CCP in attendance kicking back a few mojitos (not really). To get the night off to a great start, come wearing red or pink and get a free drink on us. So don’t be a Trotskyist or a capitalist roader and join us for what should be an epic communist party. Half-priced drinks all night. Rooftop weather permitting. Lantung, Solana.
Simon Wang, the popular contestant of Mr. Gay China 2010 whose face swept over hundreds of papers and magazines last winter, was just in Paris recently. His fabulousness ( and gayness) was recorded and sent back to Gayographic so that we are looking at him posing naturally in the middle of street, possibly stopping traffic, literally.

Beijing stepped into summer overnight and here we are in the passionate May now. To respond to the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, we are starting up the third China Queer Film Festival Tour (CQFFT). A collection of new films will be shown and you will not want to miss them. This year, asall ticket sales will be donated to Beijing LGBT center for its operational expenses.
