It seems Beijing has now, not one, but two, gay clubs. The Boat, which used to be the after hours destination for those drunk or otherwise who found that White Rabbit closes too early, has now rebranded itself as a new gay party place. Not satisfied with one or two gay nights a week, Boat manager Alvin has decided to make it a gay night seven days a week. To celebrate its new pink awareness, The Boat is throwing a coming out party that is guaranteed not to include awkward family moments or such statements of “I always had my suspicions”. The coming out party will be held on Saturday July 4th. For the Yanks out there, what better way to celebrate your country’s independence than to dance with a bunch of scantily clad boys on a rusty, tilting Boat on a Beijing river? To get the evening’s festivities off to a great and sloppy start, The Boat will be offering a two-hour open bar from 9pm-11pm. With all that free booze, you are all but guaranteed to get blown ashore before the evening is through.

Every Sunday – Thursday: Come and shake your booty after a long day at the office and possibly meet someone to help you further unwind before the next day’s office grind.
Every Wednesday – Girl’s Night In: A weekly film screening for those must see movie gems.
Every Friday – Let your hair down and unleash your wild side for a night of special tunes and sweaty boys.
Every Saturday – Fresh: Juiced up and spruced up; The Boat will be creating waves of boys that will surely make you one sodden sailor.
